Yes, it is true! RaceRaiser is not just used for and by racers. Many others are finding success in their own online fundraising adventure. So what are the most popular fundraisers?
1. It should be no surprise—SPORTING EVENTS. Being that this is the niche market, the most popular fundraising pages on RaceRaiser are ironmans, full and half marathons, triathlons, bike races, duathlons, walk-a-thons, mud races, and other common athletic-inspired events around the nation.
2. SCHOOL TEAMS. From softball, volleyball, tennis, to cheer and dance, schools need to raise money for their athletic programs. And they have found great success in using RaceRaiser for their team programs. Bringing a team together to do a 5K or mud run is at the top of the list, but others create their own event as well.
3. CREATING YOUR OWN EVENT. Another popular fundraiser that RaceRaiser’s use is the “Add Your Event” button. Usually people want to raise money for a cause close to their heart, but sometimes choose to do so with either other athletic events (rock climbing, hiking, golfing, etc), or in a creative arena by championing car washes, dinners, and cocktail parties.
Whatever the event, we hear applaud everyone for raising money for charities nationwide. Even in a tougher economic time, people are creating fundraising pages. And their friends and family are supporting their events by donating to wonderful causes. Congrats to everyone!
